Since we never tire of chatting with each other in real life, we'd better keep it up in the virtual world! Kindred Spirits is a place for us to discuss our favorite funny silly things and to commune as, well, Kindred Spirits.
"Marilla is a famous cook. She is trying to teach me to cook but I assure you, Diana, it is uphill work. There's so little scope for imagination in cookery. You just have to go by the rules. The last time I made a cake I forgot to put the flour in."

I was wondering: Did you name your dog after the integrated kind of memory? Like CPU cache and disk buffers?

Yes, it is a headband. He's slightly a girlie dog.
Christoph, you're one of the few that has caught on to that. It's my inner geek rearing it's greasy head.

i thing it's still cruality to dogs so if you dress him up more than that i will hunt you down

i do not like seeing dogs dressed up like that it is crulity to dogs some1 might mistakehim 4 a deer and shoot him in the dark

Only someone who would mistake a dog for deer could think this is cruelty (sp!).
Anyway, why Cache then? Do you use him to remember things that you need to have readily available? Do you stick post-its on him? Can he bark directions? Do a lot of people think his name is Cash when you tell them?

Ben, don't worry. MANY MANY people can attest to the fact that Cache is far from abused and is actually the most spoiled dog in the universe. Thanks for your concern though. I'll let Cache know you care. :)
Christoph, yes, many people think I named him after money. And then when I explain the spelling, they just look at me like I'm, well, a geek. The reason I named him that is because he always was caching himself away under things when he was little. He was born under a bed, so that seemed to be his favorite spot. But, all I had to do was mention W-A-L-K and he was readily available at my feet. Now, since he can't fit under the bed, he's ALWAYS at my feet asking for a W-A-L-K. Which makes me sometimes wish I named him RAM....

By the way, all you PETA people, Cache chewed up the beloved antlers yesterday. So, I guess I know how he feels about that. I'll try to get all the pieces together and post an "after" picture.

Hey Andrea, when you're tired of explaining "cache," just tell people you named him after Johnny... :)
